In between your appointments, you have constant access to our team of experts by cellular phone but with the freedom of being on holiday. Obviously, in order to pursue your treatment in Barbados there are some preliminary steps you need to undertake in cooperation with your local doctor/clinic so that your time spent in Barbados can be kept to a two week timeframe.

Upon arrival in Barbados you are met at the airport and taken by private luxury car to the hotel of your choice where our Patient Liaison Manager will meet with you to ensure that you have settled comfortably. You will be given a programmed cellular phone to enable you to contact us at any time but give you the freedom to enjoy being on holiday. Your appointments schedule will be given to you with collection times for your transportation to and from all appointments. Prerequisites

Listed below are the investigations that are required to have been carried out within the last 12 months. Please ensure Barbados Fertility Centre receive copies of these tests prior to commencing your injections to avoid any delay with your treatment.

Preliminary routine investigations

All of the preliminary tests may be done in your own country and we will be pleased to assist you organising everything and even if copies of the test results are unavailable to you we will be able to repeat the investigations on your arrival in Barbados. Below is a general list of tests needed.
Once you are a patient of Barbados Fertility Centre and have spoken with our Consultant, a specific lists of tests required will be allocated to you.

Blood Tests

- Rubella

- Oestrogen, Progesterone, Prolactin, TSH and Follicle Stimulating Hormone.

- HIV

- Hepatitis B and C

- One semen analysis

Any relevant medical information will need to be sent to our confidential fax at Barbados Fertility Centre marked "Attention Anna Hosford, RGN".

Telephone consultation

You will have a telephone consultation with one of our Barbados Fertility Centre clinicians.

After reviewing your case on the telephone, you will be sent a consultation report, which will outline a recommended treatment plan along with additional recommended tests.

Once you have received the material, you may wish to have another phone consultation with your clinician or go ahead with booking a treatment cycle. Both of these options can be arranged by your nurse Coordinator.
